Ennovation has been testing AEBS&LDWS system for the biggest Truck manufacturer – Foton Motor.
New Safety regulations (GSR – General Safety Regulations) for vehicle manufacturers requires integration of new systems. There are two important dates, which define when new systems must be implemented. New homologation regulations come into act for new manufactured and for the first registration Type Approval requirements for new types of vehicles from 6 of July 2022 and 7 of July 2024 respectively.
Emergency lane keeping system according to (UE2021/646) and Advanced Emergency braking system (according to UN ECE R152) are those systems which have been impemented into trucks recently. Those systems require calibration and adjustment to local infrastructure. Ennovation provided support for Foton Motor regarding data collection and camera calibration. We made over 30 000 km with two trucks around Poland and collected thousand of data points to ensure that the system correctly detects lanes and road signs.
All dthe data has been processed in Poland (according to GDPR) and the calibration of the camera system has also been done by our team.
In the following months we will also work on the integration of other new systems which are obligatory for the manufacturers:
- MOIS (Moving Off Information Systems) – UN ECE R159
- BSIS (Blind Spot Information System) – UN ECE R151
- TPMS (Tyre Pressure Monitoring System) – EN ECE R141
- Cybersecurity – UN ECE R155
- Intelligent Cruise Control – UE directive 2021/1958
- Alkohol lock – UE directive 2021 / 1243
- Drowsiness warning system – UE directive 2021/1341
- Blackbox and eCall system UN ECE R160
Our expertise in homologation requirements and documentation is growing with each new project. We will share more information about the homologation process of N1 small series vehicle and the homologation process of lithium-ion battery according to UN ECE R100.02 and UN ECE R10.05, which we have already completed in June 2023.
