| As part of a project for ARP E-Vehicles, Ennovation Technology programmed and delivered twelve proprietary CCS 2 charging controllers for electric buses. The controllers enable safe and fast charging at nearly all public charging stations in accordance with the ISO 15118 standard. Our solution was implemented in eleven 10-meter electric buses, which are available for public use in Zielona Góra and Sieradz. Additionally, we supplied one controller for a 12-meter concept vehicle. The Polish company ARP E-Vehicles is part of the Industrial Development Agency (ARP S.A.) and specializes in manufacturing zero-emission electric buses under the PILEA brand. | ![]() |
What challenges did ARP E-Vehicles face?
ARP E-Vehicles commissioned us to deliver advanced CCS charging controllers for their electric buses. The key project objective was to ensure safe and fast charging at nearly all public charging stations and avoid bus downtime. Additionally, ARP E-Vehicles needed the controllers programmed for their existing vehicle and technical requirements while maintaining safety standards.
What was the scope of cooperation and how was the intended goal achieved?
Through collaborative work with our engineering department, we reprogrammed our own battery charging controllers for PILEA buses. Our solutions were designed with efficiency in mind and allow vehicles to be switched off immediately after charging. This solution helps optimize low-voltage battery energy consumption.
The process of adapting our controllers to ARP E-Vehicles’ needs involved several key steps:
- CAN log analysis from existing vehicles and CAN protocol to understand their operation.
- Controller adaptation based on collected data and its integration using professional charging standards testing equipment (used to verify proper operation of both vehicle and charging station, allowing us to diagnose the vehicle or station and check if they work correctly).
- Iterative implementation process, supported by agile methodology, enabling quick adaptation of solutions to new requirements.
- Direct technical support, we were present in Sieradz, offering on-site troubleshooting and product development.
Our offer wasn’t limited to controller delivery – we were present at every project stage, from analysis through certification compliance testing and on-site product service.

What was the outcome of the cooperation between ARP E-Vehicles and Ennovation Technology?
The collaboration with ARP E-Vehicles was successful, and Ennovation Technology’s solutions contributed to improving the charging efficiency of electric buses in Zielona Góra and Sieradz. Our innovations were recognized with the best supplier of the year award at TRANSEXPO 2024, received from ARP E-Vehicles, which demonstrates the trust and recognition of our technological competencies in the electromobility industry.
