Electromobility is gaining popularity not only in the automotive industry but also in heavy and military sectors. Historically, many new technologies have been initially developed for the defense industry before being adopted for civilian use.
In the Taero vehicle project, a hybrid drive system was utilized in an amphibious landing vehicle, offering several advantages. Notably, the hybrid system enables the vehicle to temporarily operate in electric-only mode, a valuable feature during missions that require stealth and silence. This helps minimize the vehicle’s thermal signature by reducing heat emissions and vibrations, making it less detectable to certain guidance systems.
As Ennovation, we were responsible for the electric propulsion system, including the battery, motor, and vehicle controller. The electric propulsion system features a 50 kW PMSM motor with 200 Nm of torque, enabling the vehicle to reach a maximum speed of 50 km/h. The 30 kWh battery provides a range of 30 to 100 km (depending on the driving mode). Additionally, the vehicle is equipped with regenerative braking, allowing the battery to be replenished while using the internal combustion engine. Furthermore, the vehicle is designed for autonomous driving systems and remote control.
Ennovation Technology embraces challenges in various aspects of electromobility and energy storage systems, and we are open to fulfilling a wide range of demanding project requirements.
